Does anyone have the correct part number for the winter front for a 2005 2500? I went to my dealer and they told me that in over 20 years of business they've never heard of such a thing. I can't believe this, it's COLD in Connecticut! I explained to them what I was talking about and they finally came up with a kit that had the battery blankets, block heater and the front cover. For lots of $$$ ...

Can you just buy the cover, I already have the rest?

Yours is not the only dealer overstocked with morons. I had the same response with the cover as well as the block heater. "We never sell those, it will start just fine without it.... blah, blah, blah...we are retards...blah, blah, blah....what's a diesel anyway....blah blah blah"

I ordered mine from Moparpartz.com last year for around $90 also, had it in less than a week.

 

I spoke to the "service department" today (I use the term "service" loosely). They found the part, said no one in CT had it, it will take a week to 10 days to get and $119.... I told him I was ordering it online for $89, he say's his cost is $83 and Dodge is screwing him. I guess better screwing him than me!

I'll be purchasing from Moparpartz.com tonight.
