Steve, why not take the lift off the truck and maybe throw on a leveling kit or something? I can see why you would want to sell, I was in the same boat as you not too long ago if you remember. If I were you, I would drop the truck back down to stock height or throw a small lift in it, do a Thuren suspension setup, and try to find some small injectors or a set of stockers to throw in just in case. I would not sell the truck if I were you, but you have to do whats best for you.

If the truck is really that unreliable now then just get rid of it. If its things that can be fixed and it would cost you more to trade it, keep it and not necessarily return it to stock, but maybe detune it to a safer level.

You need to find someone you trust to work on your truck, or learn to do it yourself, it's not that hard.

That truck is too awesome to sell. Maybe detune it a little and drive it.

Thumbs up Big decision

Dealers will just tell you that they'll never get rid of it and couldn't possibly sell it like that all modded for "safety" reasons or liability and low ball you big time. Meanwhile the used car manager will have at least three of his used car lot broker buddies waiting on the line for you to give it up. He'll still pull 2-3 grand out of the deal. Case in point my last trade. My 03 2wd 3500 dually sport silver laramie w/srt front end, full banks system factory nav and dvd. Always looked detailed and spotless, and tranny slipped a little. UCM gave me a sob story about how it wouldn't sell without a tranny put in and noone will look at it with all that "stuff" in it also. After alot of dickerin he had my 90k+ mileage truck for $19,000. Best part, I forgot to leave the keys to the locking gas cap. They called me next morning needing these ASAP. Funny, I didn't think a truck that would never sell and needed a tranny anyway would need more than 3/8 of a tank of fuel just to sit on their back lot. Turns out the guy who bought it the next day was at the dealer that night. In fact I gave him the grand tour of my old truck and the newer '06 I was getting. Ran into him a little while ago with the same tranny in it, and no clue on how to use the NAV or the DVD. He paid $24,000 and didn't get a tranny. Typical dealer sales end stuff. Best of luck in your decision whichever way you go. If I ever win that Powerball I'm gonna be a mobile friend with tools, knowledge and a helicopter.
