I stripped everything but the suspension and clutch off my '03 Laramie 6-speed before selling it. I got $8k for my parts, and sold my truck to a dealer for $21k. I doubt I would have gotten more than $26k total selling my truck private-party. Kid that bought it paid $25k OTD.

At least around here, people avoid modded trucks like the plague. I had my truck listed for weeks w/o anything but emails from do-gooders chastising me about ruining a perfectly good truck. Whatever. Idiots.

I made out better in the end by putting in a little effort.

And then there's the Mega Cab. I should have bought one. I know I'm going to have kids in the near future, and it may suck with a Quad Cab. Oh well, I guess it's a good reason for our household to have TWO CTD's. I think I'll be brave and try a 6.7 for the little woman...

What else is wrong other than an injector? Maybe just send your injectors to Don M and have them fixed/converted to Flux 1s. Then take your programmer off and run the Quad box on 100hp. That would drive like stock probably but have more power. The programmer seems to be what makes trucks not feel stock or smooth if that is a problem.

i agree with JCleary put back what you can to stock and if you pick up a 2500 mega around the same age you could just swap the upgraded parts to the new one or sell them. you'll lose more selling it modded

im not ******* on you but a high ram intake is simple to install. the lift is not so I can understand that. if you want to sell the truck I would post it on here and see how it goes from there. if it doesnt sell then take your mods off and trade it in for a mega cab

Do it its gonna be the last chance in your lift to get the best diesel pickup to date. Imagine for one minute its 1970 and all the cool car you could buy and pring back....That sir is one of thes monents in life.

Not only would I love having a 04.5+, a auto, a mega cab,.....but its the last year of the 5.9L

There's so many pros and not too many cons.

Do what everybody in the sftermarker automotive world does....Return it to stock and sell it as still stock still under warranty. Kepp all your parts toeither keep or sell for more money. There are alot more expensive sports to get into, good thing deisels hold their value.

First think tomarrow post a "testing the waters" post in the classifided here and at the other dieselfroum. Give it your rock bottom price as is price because a dealer will offer you so much less you'll get offended. Heck post a thread/ poll as it its value. Then if there no takers start returning it to stock down the the rims, tire, exhaust tip.

Everyday I wake up hoping for the opertunity of getting a Silver Sport 07 Megacab 5.9L. Sure I love my 03 HO but it would sure be nice to have the last of the greatest no emmisions..............and an auto, megacab

If you pocketbook swing it go for it.

Ive sold 2 diesels private party, its not that hard to do. Try to get KBB dealer trade in value and sell it for that to the public because ther dealer's KBB value is usually $1,500-$2000 lower.

I'm thinking $31,000 w/ accesorys and $23,000 stripped These are what I think you could sell them for and not an asking price. I dont mean to offend you, and think these nunbers are on the high side of value being its a 04 SO DRW 6speed

I personally wouldnt... Dont have meatballs perform service on your truck and you could be enjoying it instead of having it sit because they cant install a high ram or a lift kit.

It might be worth it to bring your truck to an off road specialist or high performance specialist to service your truck. It will cost more but it should be done right the first time.
