Please Help! What size Drill and tap for my Pyro install?

I am seeing many things. I bought the kit from Diesel Manor which are the Di Pricol Optix series. What size drill bit and tap do i need to use??? Thanks, Jason

Call DM and ask them. They were helpful on the phone. I got the Isspros from them so I don't know if you got the same thermocouple or not.

Do a search, more info there than god has

Also we don't know what size thread your gauges has. If it's 1/8" NPT then you need a 1/8" Tap, if it's 1/4" then you need a 1/4" Tap. Also the taps will decide what size drill you use.

I think my Edge pyro used a 5/16" bit and a 1/8"NPT tap. Optimum size bit was a 21/64

Best bet is to look at the side of the tap. A quality tap will tell you what size pilot hole to drill. It is usually a 1/64 or 1/32" number. The standard size bit will work but using the correct pilot hole helps reduce the chance of a leak. Dont forget to put a little antisieze on the threads before inserting your new pyro incase you need to pull it one day.
