Plastic, really?
After 3 weeks of driving with the Edge, I blew the end of the intercooler off. I dont think anything is cracked or broken, it just came off the fins.
Anybody have any suggestions on what to do now? 33K miles on the truck. Warranty? Aftermarket? Re-install and see what happens?
I know a lot of you have experience with the '05 plastic intercoolers cracking, I have read most of the previous threads on this topic. If aftermarket, which brand?
I appreciate the help.
THanks.

They should replace it under warrenty with a real one (made of of all metal). They only had them for part of the year in '05, and some of us luck people got them. Mine is still holding...I hope this was not a jinx.

If you arent going real wild on your truck the stock metal one is more than enough IC for your needs. If the dealer wont replace it I have a stock one that I will make you a good deal on

City Diesel is probably the cheapest aftermarket...
But...like I said...I have an almost new metal OEM one. If I did it all over again...I would have spent my $8xx on something else.
