why did you want the Ram factory lift pump in your liberty??? just to help the CP3 last longer??

 

the Liberty does not have an in tank pump. It is similar to the Dmax system and just draws off the cp3. now he has an in tank pump in the liberty from the dodge ctd and a liberty module in the big truck to cure the 1/4 problem. kind of 2 birds with 1 stone affect. I am thinking of doing this as well with an AirDog and the liberty module.

Exactly - the Jeeps have lots of problems with the fuel manager head - it is mounted high on the firewall, higher even than the engine - all air bubbles in the system collect there, so we have A.) problems with fuel supply if it is not primed and the air bled out, regularly, and B.) the fuel heater self destructs due to being submerged in air, rather than fuel - the Dodge lift pump module cures all that, loading the system with steady 9psi -and we can now enhance the filtration, if so desired, being that the filter is under pressure, rather than vacuum.

Don't mean to hijack, but I'm hoping someone still has there pickup assembly out of the truck. I'm trying to determine what the resistance range (in Ohms) of the fuel level sensor is? I'm trying to eliminate a code I'm getting in my cummins swap, I need to simulate a "normal" tank level reading to the ECM. Thanks...

 

Up - 20 ohms +/-5% - ~0.6v - FULL

Down - 220 ohms +/-5% - ~7.0v - EMPTY

Best to check for voltage in-circuit while watching fuel guage -

The Liberty fuel module is ~100bucks at yer local fuel module emporium

BTW and FYI - that fuel guage sender module is merely clipped onto the fuel module - float, arm, element are a self-contained one-piece assembly, easily separated and transferred.

Correct, as long as you haven't had your lift pump replaced with the factory in tank unit. If you have or don't know you should have a sticker stating an alteration to the fuel system on top of the radiator support.

 

^^Thanks for clearing that up, I've been reading so many threads about fuel system mods tonight my head hurts.

 

GMCTD, I don't suppose you removed the fuel pump from the sender have you? I'd like to know what the pump itself looks like. I wonder if it's like most other replacement in-tank pumps?
