Does the edge or bully dodge chips provide you with a nice puff of black smoke on start-up? I love the idea of starting my truck and having a huge puff of smoke roll out the pipe!, I saw a second gen. do this the other day and it was sooooo cooool, looked like a big rig! Which chip is the most impressive as far as giving a nice smoke show, and for unbelievable power increases? Edge, Bullydog, Quadzilla, TST?????????????????????????????

i had an edge EZ and it didnt smoke much more than stock, if any more.

The BD will roll heavy smoke from 0-40 and then from about 40-105 its still a lot, but just not as much. definitely noticable though

this on 90hp performance setting

 

With the bully dog, did you get a nice puff of black smoke when you first start the engine?

 

As for the start-up smoke, I think only 2nd gens do it because of the injection system... I have not saw any 3rd gens to it...

And as for the power, My dyno page says it all aboutt he TST/EZ combo

 

The BDDL will not give you smoke at start up up because it does not start adding power until engine temps exceed 140 degrees. I think all the boxes for the newer trucks are similar in that they allow the engine to warm up before giving you full power increases.

 

mine will give me smoke at idle, not a puff, but just a light smoke. my friends stock 05 610 does that as well though.

if i turn it on, and press the throttle the slightest bit it will puff out a nice amount

That's with the downloader on 90hp???? Mine doesn't do that set to extreme (tri-dog)! It will give a good strong puff, but nothing that lingers in the air like that! Above about 20mph it hardly even hazes!

Thats some sick low boost fueling, Boy know I know why people stack the TST and the DL'ers

 

seems to me that the 04.5 smoke more than the 03 555's. i have just the edge ez, and i see a small amount of smoke when the engine is at low boost. what box will have the most smoke effect on my 2003?

I could barely get a haze with the EZ on 4 on mine...

The EZ will NOT smoke...on any level. The EZ is a preasure box. To get smoke you need duration.

 

100%-VA C3.2 + EZ-4 = insane smoke
