x2 christopher! if it works you can do my 3rd brake lite this weekend when we hook up that lockup switch and see if your monitor makes a difference on my truck!

 

The red bleeds through sorry guys i have exhausted about all i know to do and now im out of third lights and now have to put this last one i did on my old 03 so I can sell it. Anybody else got any ideas ive exhausted all my options but i really want to do this and this new paint would work really well i know b/c i had a broken headlight laying around and did it while i was at it and walla a match to the smoked recon 3rd light. I wish someone could make a cast and then mold me a piece of clear.

 

did you try the paint i used or just black paint and that PPG stuff? if not, take some thinner to one of those lights and clean it up and try the rattle can stuff i used, a lil darker than mine and the red should be covered up pretty good!!!

 

No im using a custom blend from my ppg dealer and its letting the red through but looks like my third light on just my clear headlight i did.

you shouldnt be so fancy creed......go try a $4 rattle can and give her a go......youve already come this far so you might as well try it.
I like how mine came out and i think with one more coat, the red would go away

 

O im getting rattle cans mixes drasco they are just what rick my ppg guys is like the smoked duplicor paint but with some kind of special chemical mixures and he lost me from their so I told him id leave the mixin up to him I really want to work with him b/c hes into it and really wants to help me with whatever I need. Scott I did paint my headlight that I had laying around off of my 03 truck that we broke the adjustment and some other stuff on and all I have to say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!! SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!
