Painted my valve cover...

Well, I swapped a part I had in the attic for a painted valve cover. When I got the cover there were a couple chips in it and being who I am I just could not live with it. I was going to try and touch it up but knew I could never match the red paint and it would probably look worse. I ended up spraying it the same color as the truck. Check it out. I think it looks pretty good....

After I painted it I took a big Sharpie permanent marker to the text and the Cummins logo. Then I sprayed a bunch of clear coat on it.

Seems similar to what I did. Painted mine red to match the high ram intake, then hand-painted the logos and cleared the whole thing. The most time consuming part was sanding the pastic to make it more smooth and peeling the stupid labels off.

Thinking of doing mine, but if I do will probably remove the Dodge logo and highlight the Cummins logo. Anybody done that?

Looks good. My Cummins lettering paint has worn off of mine. Been like that since I got it. This is something to think about for sure.

Dang! Yours looks great with the paint on the logo and the text! I wanted to do mine like that but figured I'd mess it up somehow since I'm no artist. That's why I took the easy route with the Sharpie. Nice work tryNto!!!!
