Got this code this morning upon start up. I couldn't read my Smarty JR as to what it was. Can anyone provide input? Thanks.

 

P2509 Powerdown Data Lost Error.

Thanks, I didn't know that was there. My next question is what is the powerdown data lost error.

 

First thing I would check is the batts. You likely have a weak one.

 

I also have an high tranny temp guage light come on the same time, the truck had been sitting all night with about two inches of snow on it. It seems really weird. I'll check the batteries with a load tester but the voltage gauge is reading 14.

 

I got this code this morning too when i started up my truck, same way yours did tranny temp light at first. SCCSURF what was your fix. thanks

 

I went out and played around for awail, now its off- i Unplugged the batts. for 5 mins or so plugged back in ,light still on, reran my smarty download setting on my JR. figured whats it going to hurt. turned the key and the light never came on "YET" lol hope this helps.
