p0341 code and Smarty not working

p0341 code and Smarty not working
Do you guys know if the p0341(cam sensor code) will cause the Smarty to not work or the ecm to go into a fuel saver mode. I have that code on my conversion and when I load the Smarty file there is no change in the power of the truck. Also have a surging problem. I am going to check the wires to the ac compressor tomorrow and if they are good. I will change the sensor.

I use to get that code about once a week. I finally got to the wires by the A/C compressor and unwrapped them. I didn't find any chafed all the way through but then rewrapped and put wire loom on those wires and the problem went away.
