just installed an outlook monitor for 2005 2500 with plug in dlc, odometer says no buss and truck wont start, is ok if unplugged, am i missing something or do i have a bad unit

Is it the monitor that controlls the downloader? There are different versions of monitors. If it is not the one designed to control their downloader, just unplug it. Sounds like you got a bum monitor.

 

sounds like a bad unit. Give bd a call they have good customer service. They will probably tell ya to ship it to them so they can make it right... and they will. Once you pull it out get some gauges and a smarty! I had the triple dog for about 2 years, had a few probs with the outlook...... Sold it and bought a smarty...... I've never been happier! It tows better and much cooler on the 30hp tune than the bd on tow/econ! Just my .02

 

i have a smarty jr and like it, outlook is just for guages

 

i have the outlook and i have never had a problem with it ,,, but the light is out anyone know how to replace the light in it ???

 

says in intructions if light is out and everything else works to call tech assistance
