Good price but unproven and what about after sale support? Buy DTT,a quality Canadian product.

I am located not all that far from Salem, Oregon. . .have not had any knowledge/experience with this company. You are better off paying more for a proven product.

Haven't dealt with them, but I do think its funny that everyone discounts smaller companies like this. Every company has to start somewhere and I'm sure somewhere along the line people where saying I've never heard of this Goerend guy, better off buying from someone proven.

I'm not saying that this Oregon company makes anything worth owning, but just because they are new or unproved doesn't make them junk either.

Maybe someone that has used them will chime in with their experiences, perhaps call them and ask them about their expertise in the area of diesel, specifically 48re converters and ask to speak to some of their customers.

This is their website. http://www.oregonperformancetransmission.com/

I like DTT, and I love the Goerend but.... at $1300-$1500 US NIC delivery. is a bit steep. Let me break it down,a $1300 TC will cost me $1625 after the exchange, then add shipping and duty I am looking at close to $2000 for a T/C, not including install.

So I would love to purchase from the other Proven Companies, but I plan on looking at other options as well.

I don't run 500 hp ( I don't plan on it either) I just want a TC that is better than stock.

Vulcan Diesel Performance is now an authorized seller/installer of DTT products. They are now out of Vancouver, WA.

I agree that every shop has to start somewhere, but the price is not too far off from the bigger, and trusted builders. Couple hundred more and you can get into a nice triple disk as well (if you need it.) The converters in both mine and wifes truck were right about $1200 bought thru HTS (they are suncoast triple disks) And there wasn't a core charge (as long as yours isn't destroyed!)

I'm all about supporting the small shops, but I have an issue spending close to a G for something that I haven't heard any reviews on, good or bad.

This is a big deal on our trucks. Getting the stall speed set for what the customer intends to do is important. Not everybody wants a lower stall speed, as it can affect boost off the line. Not great if you are towing a heavy trailer trying to get the turbo going and the converter is fighting you.

Call Vulcan and see what he can get you a good DTT converter for, or go check out Dunrite (also in vancouver wash) they have a pretty good rep, prices are fair as well, and Tony is really helpful.

When I say exchange I mean, Canadian to US Dollars.Right now it's a difference of 25% or more depending on the seller.

But I will look at Vulcan and see what they have. BD and DTT up here List and sell everything in US dollars. Go Figure!

Well I did take a look at his feedback, and it is good.. Sold somewhere near 30,000 items, and 99.7% positive.

Work is slow, so I stated drilling down into the feedback for stuff sold, and went thru the last year and half, and hadn't seen 1 of the converter in question that had feedback, good or bad. Maybe they just don't seel any of them? Maybe people didn't leave feedback on the ones they sold.

Isn't NADP a Canadian company? You could try them out as well.
