I removed the black straight piece between the turbo and the filter. Not sure which way it goes back in. When I removed it I noticed arrows, then later I notced arrows pointing in each direction. Help.

On mine, you can read the part number from left to right or top to bottom as this case may be.

It doesn't matter it can go either way, it is just a muffler.

On another thread it was stated that with the intake "muffler X screen" removed the mileage dropped. The ribs on the inside of the pipe have spaces between them that are not even.

I am very curious how removing it will effect things,I will leave the ring in but wouldn't mind getting rid of the baffle. I have heard conflicting stories ????

I would not recommend removing the X unless you are removing the entire pipe and replacing with a smooth bore pipe. The ribbs inside the original make for some poor flow. I can tell my throttle response and the "feel" went down on mine. I don't like it really. I'll get around to replacing the pipe sometime. Sounds good though. JKE
