OOOOOPs
Kevin, I pulled this off of another site
I am thinking the 0633 most likely is not the problem
Ok, stopped at the dealer and showed them the code.
The tech that does codes said that this is a soft code and is only to provide history of an actual problem. The code "P0633 SKIM Key Not Programmed in PCM" means that at some point something interferred with the Key Chip starting the vehicle. This could have been anything from radio waves to sun spots.
He said that to clear the soft code would need to reset all codes and history. He said that they dont recommend this because if problems keep happenig the history stored will help determine if/when replacement of components should be done.
He said if I insist he will reset all codes. I said that I will leave it for now.
That's what I know, not sure that I learned anything.

Hey Lmills, that check ball,, where exactly should it be? I have 2 injector bodies here, and I will take a look, but not sure where that check ball should actually be?

when you had the injectors out, did you check to see that all of them had the copper washers on them? It really is sounding to me like the system is not building pressure. Until the pressure is high enough the ECM will not fire the injectors. So it will just keep cranking.
How long have you cranked??

hard to describe. if you have one, take it apart carefully and look. It is very small and the one piece is magnetized so it will stick to it. Oh yeh, I can't remember the TQ spec for the top of the injector off the top of my head, but it is also very sensitive!!!!
cool,, we are pulling out 2 injectors right now.. the one that we worked on, and another as a template,,, thanks for your help,, I will let you know what happens

ok pulled the top off of that injector, there was a ball and a puck, in the well where the spring goes down... now what? I wish I knew more, or had maybe done this before

Is the ball in the injector you had apart originally? Or in the one you were taking apart for reference?
If it is in place, I hate to ask, but have you checked the simple stuff, like the rail pressure sensor plug and injector harness?
