Been gone to Iraq for a while folks and haven't been keeping up as much as usual.

I was running the beta 4.4 and now I went to 4.11 modTq and it isn't know where near the same on my truck and I can't go back. I am running sw7 right now. Is sw9 an increase in power or not? I remember this being talked about quite a bit, but what is the latest verdict. is the 170 for 04.5 and up only? if so, what will going to sw9 do for me? anything?

Hmmm. I thought level 9 has more power than 7 but not as much compared to the '04.5 and newer 600's.

On the earlier models, 03-04, both sw 7 and sw 9 are 130hp. There is a little different fueling curve though, most of it bottom end fueling. There is not much difference I can tell SOTP between the two, but I do get better fuel mileage on sw7 so there is a difference.

Beta 4.4 has more power, obviously.

 

Thanks soulezoo. that is what I thought. I just got some great mileage numbers with sw7 4.11 on the trip to PA to get the race car. I just wondered what sw9 would do. I sure miss the beta 4.4. I kick myself everyday for trying the 4.11 although the mileage is nice so far.

are all of the 4.4 beta files with speed limiter adjust???

 

not that I know of. I have a 4.2 also and it doesnt have a speed limiter that I know of. these are older tunes I guess that I have, the recently created stuff has the speed limiter is what I was told

 

If I remember right bob told me that even with the 03-04 trucks the software kick is 170hp for them to because something in the software kicks the 04 truck pretty much just like the 04.5 truck does..
