Question Odd dyno experience today.. Wifes truck

So I had the head studs installed in the wifes 05 yesterday and stuck it on the dyno today. This is with the REVO/TNT (not R) and was on a Mustang Load dyno. The weird thing is that on the street this thing will hit 50psi without a problem but wasn't really going over 40psi today at all.

With baseline run I got 371 hp. Forgot what the tq was. (mods will be at the bottom of the message), Smarty level 1 TNT, Torque set to stock (0) Torque management on 3, and rail pressure 1, wastegate off, We have 462.

Moved up to Smarty level 3, everything else the same, got 521.0/1019. Rail pressure was tagging at 25600, 25700, around there.

Moved up to Smarty level 5, everything else the same, got 526.0/1020. Rail pressure still hit 25k and held.

Moved up to Smarty level 7, everything else the same, got 526.0/1025. Rail pressure still hit 24.5k and held.

Didn't bother with level 9 cuz it had stopped going up in power at level 3...

Can somebody give me a clue as to why the power stopped going up after level 3?

Mods... 2005, Arp Studs, Floor It stage 2 CP3, Raptor fuel pump at 30psi, F1 Flux 2 Stix, F1 Valve Springs, Edge EZ on level 1 for all runs. Turbo is an HTT 62/71/13ss, and I have a Glacier Intake, and straight exhaust. It does have an exhaust brake on it as well. Tranny is a full billet HTS just like mine.

All runs were made with overdrive locked out, and torque converter was locked up and stayed locked up from 35mph on up.

Thanks in advance!

I forgot to mention that there was almost zero smoke on the level 3 run that hit 521 hp. Its was pretty cool. It did smoke a little on the level 5 run, and then the level 7 run smoked a good bit.

I gotta repeat though, all the way thru level 7 I had rail pressure above 24k, and it didn't really dip at all even when he hammered it. It would drop from 19,500 quickly to 18 or so and then shoot up to where it should be WOT.

I wonder if the boost fooling is working on the Edge EZ? Seems like it gets to 40 PSI and stays there. Like a defuel situation at 40.

I wondered about that Don, but I also had the wastegate "off" in the Smarty setup as well. On the street it will hit 50 with ease. He showed me how the MD-600 works, and he actually put a load on it that simulated my 12k toy hauler and it really works.. Bogs the motor down, its a pretty cool dyno setup.

But for this they enter the weight of the truck and set it up that way. I just thought it was strange that it didn't go up in power after level 3 really. Also, no tire slip at all. They put a 1000lb weight in the bed to make sure of that!

These are the injectors that you did recently and drop shipped to the Power Shop in Enumclaw, Wa... I bought them thru Tim. I love them.

What kind of dyno was it? A lot can depend on how much load and when its applied. If it was making more smoke, but no more power, and if it was 10psi shy on boost over what you see on the street, it probably didnt have enough load on it.

Just my $.02 since I am on my dyno all the time...every truck is a little different. Some like way more load.

It was loaded pretty good.. Was pulling the straps pretty hard when he dialed in the load a little more. Spun the tires on the rollers (twin rollers) so they thru a 1000 weight in the back.

With my truck and the 64 with flux 3's I made a pretty hot 670 hp.. Like my sig says, I need more turbo... Probably 2 of them! That was pre-tnt though.

Anybody else have any ideas? I thought I'd get 550 out of it......Oh 1 more thing, its rolling on 18's with 35's.. I wonder if that hurt at all?

Flux 2 is supposed to be 100hp usually.. I think every truck is different, but I definitely didn't have any rail pressure issues all the way up thru TNT 7... Just stopped making power after level 5... And level 5 was only a little (VERY LITTLE) more power than level 3.

I did take a good look at a my air filter when I got home. Uhh... That may be the issue. It's an AFE stg2 and its pretty dirty. I cleaned it about 3 months ago.... Wonder if that is the culprit? IT did hit 52psi on my way home though so not sure what the deal is.

As Eric said, it may not have had enough load on it.

I gotta ask everybody, since I never dynoed my truck with single pumps and what not.. Are these good numbers for a run on Smarty Level 3, with flux 2's, and a stage 2 cp3 and mild turbo?

Sorry to hijack, hey Don what is the estimated time to get my injectors back? I am Jay Thacker, and sent those to you this week, via Tim. Thanks Don.
