Thumbs up NV5600 and T Case Fluid change & PICS

Just a little write up I figured I'd throw out there. These are the tools you need so you dont go to advanced twice. Use the 10mm bolt with the 17mm head or a 17mm allen wrench for the fill plug on the tranny.

tranny drain plug all on drivers side. We took a screw driver and hammer to get the cover off Oh so Gently and a 14mm wrench for the pto bolts. 17mm for the tranny fill plug. Put ultru black silicone back on the pto cover. Use teflon on the drain and fill plugs.

I think thats it. Maybe it'll save you a trip to advanced

I put 2 in the t case and could fit almost 4 in the tranny due to the fact that the truck was leanin back and not quite all could drain out which was a good angle for the t case.

I can get almost 5 in my NV5600, but I'm sure half of that last quart ends up on the ground. Those darn Redline bottles don't flex a bit, and I find myself transferring each quart to a gear oil bottle, then pouring it in that way. Double pouring sucks.

Good writeup.

You can always just take off your shifter assembly and fill it from the top....

Shouldn't be a problem since the transmission is vented.
I have almost 20k miles since the change with no issues.
