? on Normal Boost readings

What are the stock boost numbers for a 3rd gen? What i have found in the searches are some that have posted their boosts with new turbos and stuff but none of what the stock baseline is.

I just installed my Phantom series boost gauge and the SRT-10 A-Pillar. I think they look SWEEET and definitly retain the somehwhat factory look. I typically can max at about 22 psi got up to 23 a couple of times. My only mods are the gauge and exhaust at this point. Am i running into any defueling issues? Or is my boost about normal? BTW this is with the truck empty not towing just gunning it off the line...

Normal varies. Mine will vary anywhere from 18-24 on my 01. No codes in the computer. Well, one, but it's not an overboost code. If your check engine light doesn't come on, then I wouldn't worry about it. You could always pull the codes just for fun and see what comes up.

Barrett_Fodder, Where did you get your SRT-10 A-pillar from? I would like to get one and install the westech combo gages but I read where some said the SRT-10 A-pillar doesn't fit that well on the '04. How well does yours fit? Color OK? Thanks, Jerry R

Heading uphill with a load of drywall in the box I'll max out at 22 lbs and 1100 F.

Before I installed my EZ my boost would max out at 23psi I figure that is just calibration differences between gauges. Looks like you have pretty normal boost numbers. After the EZ I have hit 35psi.

ohhh 35 psi would be a nice little increase...about 50% ... mm may have to get me a box pretty soon. (if I can find a timing box i like (IE can afford...lol) )

Jerry R,
I purchased my SRT-10 Pillar from Geno's they shipped quickly and it was actually cheaper than the ebay prices i have found. The fit is in my opinion flawless. The color is an exact match and the upper clip and both bolt holes lined up perfectly. There is no spot for the lower clip but it is not needed anyway since there are 2 pegs on the bottom of the pillar for alignment holes. The texture is the same as the stock pillar as well, overall one of the best fitting parts for this application.

Geno's has the OEM SRT-10 A-pillar for about $40.

It fits just perfectly on the 04s. I just put ours in 3 days ago. Perfect fit and looks good. I just haven't had time to take pictures of it or hook up the EGT portion of the gauge. The boost works, but I haven't grown the cajones to drill into the exhaust manifold.
