I think these will be as close to the N-Fabs as you can get....Go Rhino

Whatever brand you go with make sure they don't drill through the body pinch weld to mount. BS design.

I just installed the Go Rhino Dominator II steps this weekend. So far they are great. I believe they are almost identical to the N-Fab 2 bar step. The best part is they are about $200 cheaper than the N-Fab. I got mine in black powdercoat for $308 shipped from automotiveconcepts.net and shipping only took a few days.

I'd have to agree it's not the best design but, mine has been worry free for over a year now. I changed out all the hardware to SS and retorqued the bolts several times after they were installed. They've yet to squeak or come loose.

I even had a couple 300+ friends jump up and down on them and they held fine. All of the weight it transfered to the rail by the plate mounted to the bars.

My family has a beach house on a beach we can still drive on. That spray will rust the crap out of any hole you punch in the body. My concern was not the mounting hardware but the location of the mounting holes. I ended up going with Westin platinum series nerf bars for two reasons. Used the body mounts to bolt up and are powdercoated 304 SS. I liked the look of the NFAB, just felt it was not right for my application.

Check out Frontier-gear.com. They mount to the factory body mount & have a better designed step pad than the Nfabs(in my opinion).

yes, but i've had no problems with them, they seem to work really well. When I installed them I just used a health dose of lock tight. Plus when they are monunted they fit nice and tight to the body.

No other bar sit as close to the body as the Nfabs and it's due to the way they mount. I'm not saying they're all that but, they are very nice bars and because of the way they mount isn't a reason to avoid them. I do agree the pinch weld isn't the greatest but, you only have so many options due to body design.

Forget the beach house.... how 'bout salted roads all winter ! If you do the job right... there won't be any rust.
