newbe with Q's

Hey guys, great site lots of knowledge.

I just bought my first diesel truck, it's a 2006 SLT quadcab 2500 manual tcase and I want to buy a aftermarket alarm.

The thing is that I also want to buy the tst module in the future so I did a search and it seems that the remote start feature and the tst doesn't work well together.

Can anyone explain why?

Also, is there anything better or newer from DEI than the viper 791xv?

Thanks in advance.

Tmex, I think it depends on the alarm. I know a few people with the tst that have a remote start, one is on a 2005. ks

I have that problem. I figure the TST is worth more to me than remote start, so I clipped the wire.

Thanks for the answers guys, i guess i'll live without a remote start until tst does something about it.
