It's in the April '09 issue of Diesel Power Mag on page 122. Interesting!

Wish I had it too...

I figured TST pretty much gave up on us CR guys. I LOVED my TST R49 in my '03. Bums me that I can't get one for my '07. I guess they still haven't figured out how to keep the injectors from hanging open on '06.5 and up trucks, at least according to their website.

Just spoke with Mark @ TST and if you already have the R49 you can get the PDA, for 5 Benjamin Franklin's, Brand new is 9 Benjamin's. It hooks up the same way the monitor we have now (R49). It has scopes and graphs for sd card so you can look at performance on computer. It displays pyro, boost, tach, rail pressure, timing, and all of their regular programming(econo, stand, twin turbo). And you can set warning indicators, egt, rpm.
He said hopefully in a month or two, they will have powermaxcr available for '06.5-'07. They have been testing it for over 2 years.

Not sure I understand how that would work. My R49 remote connects to the PowerMaxCR control unit with t he 3/5 pin cable. The control module connect to injector harness, cam shaft, crankshaft, EGT probe, MAP and a few fuse taps. How is it going to get any other readings? Might be worth the data logging, just don't understand where it will get the data from.

ON REVIEW: Never mind I think I figured it out. All of the displays you listed can be done with the current sensor connections. I don't have the Rail Pressure option so I would not be able to get that data. I assume that Boost reading would still be limited to what the MAP can signal and not necessarily actual boost. Tach comes from the crankshaft sensor. So for me it would not be much added help. I could really only see graph of rpm, egt and timing that are real. Not sure if the timing logging is worth that much.

you know why i like that....With on push of a button you can be in race mode and one more right back to economy. You don't have to go in change your power then change your rail then change your torque, thats nice. Reminds me of the old six gun with pda......
