I ordered a set of smoked cablights from ebay for a friend of mine's 03' 2500, when they came in I pulled them out of the pack & on the end of the wires they have a plug made like the end on a 194 bulb??? the Recon lights on my 01' came with bulbs & sockets & had to be spliced in??? his truck didn't come factory with the cab lights, so I guess I'll be keeping this set for my 07' when it gets here, does anyone know if they still make the kits with the old style plug-ins that we can just wired up seperate?????? thanks alot, Dusty

I have some on the way but I know for a fact my factory cab lights dont have plugs....... Why couldnt the plug be cut off??????

 

are those the new led cab lights?? i had the new design lights (last summer) a set of pre-production lights- to test out. mine still needed to be hard wired in. but recon told me that the production led cab lights would be plug and play!

 

yup they're the new plug & play type, no hard wiring on these, they have 3 LED's in each light, haven't had a chance to hook them up yet to see how they look, do you think theres a chance I could order a set of the old style still???? thanks, Dusty

 

If they are from the factory, they DO have plugs.

 

Yes,the new lights are plug and play.Very easy to put on compared to the older ones were you had to cut and splice.

I'm not sure if you can still get the older ones still.

What do you meen my lights did come from the factory and they were wired directly into the bulb no plugs and the holes are part of the roof not some crappy drill job so i know they are not an after the buy deal...........

 

You pull the factory bulb out and plug in the new Recon light into the socket.

I put a set of the smoked Recon lights on my '05 Ram 3500. The smoked lenses look great on my grey truck. Unfortunately one of the LED lamp assemblies is YELLOW and the other four are orange so they look, well... pretty lame when they're lit-up. I called up Recon and they said they'd send me a replacement bulb. That was four weeks ago. So far... nothin'.

BTW, I did have to splice the wires because the plugs for my stock lights didn't fit in the Recon ones.
