New Stock '08 - Which gauges/adds?

Got a new '08 a couple weeks ago. Never put any gauges in my old truck but now realize the importance of monitoring EGT and Fuel pressure. The 3-gauge sets have a Boost gauge also. Why is it critical to monitor that?

Any other highly recommended mods/adds? I'm not going to do anything that will void the warranty though.

Yes, guages are a must. The boost guage will help you trouble shoot problems in the future, and it's fun to watch!

Look at fuel pump mods early if you're going to be putting any preformance mods on.

If you tow, a trans temp guage works too.

+1. Gauges are a must. How is your dealer about mods? Reason I ask is some dealers get VERY suspicious when they see gauges. I had to go to war with a dealer because I had my rail press sensor go out, and they didn't want to cover it because they said it was the fault of my Commander and because I had a "chip". I called BS on that one, because at the time I did NOT have any programming or fueling mods. They just saw the monitor and ASSUMED. I basically had to argue with the Service Manager and demand to see proof of the "Chip" before they backed down and covered the sensor under warantee.

If you don't want to worry about your warranty, the best advise is to not buy a single thing for the truck and get off this forum as soon as possible so you don't break your own rule. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Never made any mods (not even gauges on the last one) so I don't know how the dealer will be regarding mods. I've bought my last 4 vehicles from the same salesman (who's happens to be my neighbor) at the dealership so I've got a little clout. I think it's pretty easy to justify the gauges like CDTinMT said. Even the 2 gauge sets had boost, and I figure if I'm going to put anything on, I'll put fuel pressure and EGT. So looks like I'm going to do all 3. On my last truck, I was always wondering if I was shutting it down too quick. I had 2 lift pumps go on the last one too.

I looked at the sets on Dieselmanor.com. Isspro are about $100 more than the DiPricol. Anybody see any reason to pay the extra $100?

Sorry, had info wrong:

3 DiPricol w/ Fuel Press instead of trans are about $150 more than the Isspro. Anybody see any reason to pay the extra $150?
