New Shoes and the Smarty Jr Rocks!
Howdy all, I finally decided on what I wanted after reading post after post.
A new set of Toyo 285-75-17 MT's. These things are awesome. Very little hum on the highway is amazing for a mud terrain. They have great traction too compared to the stock BFG's.
Also, the Smarty JR freakin rocks!! Made the truck so much better to drive! Still curious to see how bad my mpg is going to drop(pedal stuck to floor), but so far Im loving look of the new tires and the Jr is now tempting me to do more!!
Thanks to DTR for the great site and store! Couldn't have ever made up my mind without all the great info!!
Here it is and have a good one.

Thanks for all the replies. Gotta love the DTR.
So far I ran with the JR on 40hp setting and original tires. I filled the tank and got a about 16.7 mpg hand calc'd. Im not too concerned about mpg anyways. If I was, Id be driving my mountain bike.
The new tires were then put on and Im going to see what I get for mpg. I'm hoping if anything it evens out by going with the JR and the new tires. I definitely notice a difference with the rpm's dropping lower than before. I do need to upgrade the JR and try out the new settings some day.
So far I love the tires. I've been out on some forest roads with ice and mud and have yet to throw it into 4wd. Those stock bfg's would get slick quick in a little mud. Running 70 psi front and rear and seems to do well. Might fudge it around some later.
Oh, and like I read a million times....."these tires fit these trucks perfect in stock trim." No rubbing and fills the wheel wells perfect.
On the grill guard, the score is => grill guard 2 - pheasant 0
grill guard 3 - sparrows 0
Thanks again all and have a good one.
ps. looking at future mods as you were reading this

So, OEM until I can burn them to nubs. Which is darn hard on those stock marbles. Maybe I should puncture a sidewall...

Ive got about 5k on the tires and they still look and smell like new.
They have awesome traction in whatever I go through. A little hum above 55, but thats what the radio is for. Raises the truck up a bit too. They may be a little soft at first, but give them a good 500-1000 miles to break in.
Hope you like them as much as I like mine.
