the flash # is 18 004 04 under 04 dr diesel trucks, wont find flash under 03 trucks, just rear on under this flash number and it says 98.5 to 03 trucks can be reprogrammed for this feature to work.

so the 18 004 04 flash is the high idle control through the cruise control selecters just like the 04s can be done to do? just trying to clearify this so i can call my dealer to get it done! thanks

I assume the reason for not allowing this on a 6 speed is because it's a safety concern (the computer doesn't know when you put in gear).
But is this via computer interlock (the computer won't allow it to be enabled unless there is an auto tranny) OR is this a human interlock (if a tech enables it on a 6 speed he will be punished)?
It's probably computer controlled, but I am just wondering aloud....

I don't see why they would not offer it on a stick, my 6 speed has the "cold weather high idle" and as soon as you touch the clutch or brake it goes back down.
