New Fass harness!

The new harness from fass is supposed to work with a relay Threw the original harness. So that it does not work threw any accessory power. Well the problem is fass wired the harness backwards so I had to take it apart and temporarily wire it the correct way and my fuel guage is stuck on a 1/4 tank. the problem with that I think is the harness that plugs into the tank /sending unit does not lock. I'm very un happy with fass's new solution with this harness. any seggestions would be great I need help.

Is this the unit that Wally at Fast Track was working on?

IF not, here is what i went over with him:

The sending unit wires should be correct. They are just stright through...and im beting that it has something to do with why you can plug in the harness. Those plug ends are 100% the same as the one on the truck. My guess is the stock connector on the truck wire harness came apart and part of it stuck in the sending unit plug in. This letting you plug in to the harness side but not letting you plug into the tank side. My guess is you will find something keeping the plug from snaping in all the way.

As for the harness being backwards, what was exactly incorrect about it? I would like to know as you probaly have one of the first runs of this harness for the 05+ trucks. BUT if something is not correct, i would like to know what exactly was wrong so i can so some spot checking. I am feeling your case is an isolated isssue as i installed 2 the other week with no probs out the same stock your harness came from. For that, i am sorry.

Let me know if I can help any further......

Its our new harness for the 05 trucks....we finaly located the plug ends for the sending unit and stock harness. These trucks will have a plug and play harness with a relay. WH-1004 is our part number.

Hay dan, That's me. The trigger wire was in the wrong position in the harness that plugs into the back of the relay. As I read the schematic on the relay And put the test light on the harness I found out the harness was wired backwards. I guess a simple mistake. But the sending unit harness has got me. I guess I'll pull the drive shaft down again and try to see what is wrong I must be a retard because three of us could not get it to work. On the relay topic I had to pull the wires out of the harness/plastic thing and plug the wires in manually to the relay I guess you talk to wally again today because I trashed the end of the harness that plugs back into relay So he said he would get another. Do you have any suggestions on getting the new harness to plug into the sending unit?
P.S. The pump does work great and is extremely quiet. But I would love to know how much fuel I have Though.
