New Dyno in town

Hey guys,
Like the title states there is a new Dyno in a town close to me and a bunch of my friends have gone over and strapped there trucks down but to me the # just don't seem right. For example a friend has an newer Dirty Max that has a lot of work done to it and posted 450 hp and 1145 ftpd of torque. To me it doesn't make sense. The torque seems high or the hp is low. Another friend went over tonight with his 05 dually (Cummins) he has a Smarty on 9 150 DD injectors a Snow water/meth and a Silver 62. He has an auto that has a converter flex plate and valve body. I would think he would be up close if not a little over 500 hp. I know this truck well and it runs great. On the dyno he posted 400 hp and 1475 ftpd torque now how did he only show 400 hp and how the heck did it see 1475 torque? To me it just doesn't seem right. The dyno is a Dyno Dynamics and it was just installed last week. (New) Do these # sound correct to any of you guys?
Thanks,
Topper

those numbers sound WAY out of wack. the tq is over triple the hp. i did 433hp 813tq on a superflow with smarty 4.11 sw9 and stock turbo and i thought that was low.

Guys, as the owner of a dyno (DynoJet 224x with Load), I gotta say, don't blame the equipment. It sounds like they were reading the RPM on the wrong scale. How did they pick up RPM from the truck? These things aren't magic and any of them can be used as a good tool for tuning. In this case, its a new unit and I assume a new operator, so it takes some time to get them working right (tool and operator!)
