You are right buddy,.....the plan WAS to keep the 2006 on a "mild" tune but gosh darn this thing runs good. I may have to buy another truck to just tow with!
----------
Jeff:

We are running the "Twin Turbo Sofware Program" off the "TST PM 3 CR" right now. You asked about that Silver Bullet 62 and according to my buddy Bobby they have a 13cm stainless steel exhaust housing along with a few other internal "tweaks" making it somewhat better than my 62/12. I cannot tell you whether the power would be better or not though.
----------
Blue Dually:

The EGT's on those three runs never got above 1300 degrees but with that being said, the air temperature was only 59% with 24% humidity so that definitely helped me out for sure. Running the truck at the dragstrip this past summer in 90 degree+ heat and high humidity yielded EGT's of 1400-1450 with the Smarty "Wild" Program.

nice numbers john! I only got about 490 out of mine with stock injectors. I never could break 500 with them so you are doing way better than I did

Thanks buddy. I may be somewhat higher right now because the truck is still is pretty low on miles and all. Heck as you know I am usually driving the 96' around!

John,

Just slap a big turbo under that 62/12 and it'll tow anything.

Those are really good numbers for stock sticks and CP3.

Jim:

It is darn tempting I'll tell you that! After watching you, Tim, Lloyd, Bobby, Johnner to name a few I can see how great these trucks can be made to run.

But, my intentions all along have been to have my 96' for my "racer" and the 06' to tow with just in case any of us break something. And knowing our past, we will break some stuff!

now now John, you saw how well Jim's truck towed that trailer down to NC to see you guys. You can build a high HP truck and still tow! LOL

Daniel:

You have a point about the smoke, my 2006 does not smoke like my 1996 does, but there are also many things that I really like about my 12 valve too Daniel. I guess I am just a "diehard" 2nd Gen 12 valve man myself but I also realize that one day I might have to change over completely, especially if the "emissions police" get too much worse!

------------
ramblebee:

No, I have not tried what you said, that being, running withe JUST the Smarty Beta Program, but the next time I go back to the dyno, I will do that and give you a guys a report.

-----------
LLoyd:

You are right buddy, Jim did real well towing your truck down to our N.C. event! As I said, you guys have all put up darn impressive numbers and proven that the CR trucks can be powerful, fast and also dependable as "daily drivers" or even "tow vehicles." You won't get any argument from me there buddy and you know you all have my respect! But for right now, I have to keep things as they are, but who knows what I might do in the future??

good work buddy! Now you know why I was dissapointed with my 540hp #'s with ddp 90's, htt 66/14, walbro, Smarty beta with pressure and 48lbs of boost. I may be runnin out of fuel but not by looking at the chart. U had tst but I figured the injectors and big turbo would take place of that.
