I had no plans to paint the bumper but it does seem strange that Dodge didn't paint it Khaki like the rest of the truck. I guess it may look strange from the front....

So Mike you gonna keep this one a while? Or will we see a post like this again for the 2010 model year . Just kidding very nice truck. My main question is how do you like the new auto? I think I need a ride.

I'm extremely happy with the truck and I swear that if it doesn't start giving me constant problems I'm keeping it forever!!!! As for the auto, it shifts nice and smooth when you are light on the throttle but when you hammer it the shifts get nice and firm. I haven't towed with it yet but I plan on hooking up the trailer for a few days to help break the engine in...
I'll take you for a ride if you don't mind being in a ManVan......

They are some junk I got on e-bay. Plastic junk!! I broke one just tapping them onto the rim. The seller is replacing it for free though. I could not find 17" steel ones anywhere except for a Hot Rod store selling them for some crazy amount of money...

Nice truck.....but I feel the wheels ruin it. But it's your truck and if you like them, that's all that matters. Good luck with it.....I hope you get to keep it forever!!!!

The tip is a 4" in and 6" out and I got it from DPPI. It has held up very well and this is the third truck I have had it on......

Dzilla....Have you burned a full tank yet?....if you did you will be looking at Smarty I imagine for his Euro program that boosts mileage and lowers emissions....I don't know anyone driving normal with a 6.7 and getting over 14mpg. All the best on the new rig...Kerry

I've got about 2200 miles on it now and have filled up a few times. I have been driving pretty conservatively and get 13 city all the time. There are a few stretches on my 30 mile one way commute where I get up to 45mph and that seems to be a sweet spot for mileage. I got 20mpg on the highway the other day with the cruise set at 65mph.....

Those rims remind me of eighties-era Chevrolets. Looks cool.

If it were me, it would be red Mega, red wheels. Sick!

No matter what, I had better not drive a 6.7. Might not be good for the wallet...

I did the same thing years ago on my old Lime Green 68 Road Runner. It looked cool. My friend has a red 67 GTX and he had and still has red steel rims with just dog dish hubcaps. Looks super cool especially since the whole top of the rear tires are hidden behind the fender lip....
