I recieved a new custom tune from Johan today and just did the initial run. WOW. I thought it was good before. It has low end fueling comparible to the TD and unlike the TD it keeps pulling HARD all the way through. I lost pressure for a split second the first time ever and had to feather it but i think its the filters. And when i get in it at around 70mph, BYE BYE. I flat footed it at the light and hit third gear at about 5mph (dang 2wd) i need slicks or about 500lbs of quickrete and im set!!!! Only thing that stinks is that i cant use it at a crowded intersection, i just dont want the liability. It takes me a while to get spooled. Yes, its smokey like that and never really clears up completely but we can work on that. Oh and i was running the normal custom tune (not a stacker) with the puck maxed. No CEL or nothing, with almost 100miles so far. These guys are on top of their game. Hats off to Johan........

 

What steps did you take to get him to give you this tune? I have emailed him to no avail.

I just read the manual on the diablo site. All I can say is that I want one bad. Got to convince the wife. Glad you can adjust tire size now.

 

I just got a tune from Johan. Can someone please direct me in the right direction to get it into my programmer. Sorry for being such a newb.

Just downloaded a new custom tune for Johan also today. It was awesome. To get it into your predator you need a power source and the Serial connector from your computer to Diablo. If you have those just install the Download Installer that is on their website. Have good instructions there also. Open email that he sent to you open the file then save it to your desktop. USe the Diablo Download Installer to get it to your predator. It is confusing but, pretty simple.

BDEWEY, how did it work out for you as far as low end fueling? I was talking with a few guys on diablo about their running dry at low rpm. Seems like alot of people are having this problem. I was ready to take a hammer to my new fuel system because i got a case of the dry rail with duals . Needless to say it was my fault for badly neglecting my filters .......

 

Can these tunes be emailed to other people. I have been unable to contact Johan.

 

You can get all the parts for you computer from radio shack, the part numbers are on Diablo's website.

 

the tunes can be emailed to other people I found out as long as the first two numbers on the CAL ID match and the same model Predator. Info was put out on Diablo forum.

 

Neverenough
I had been running the Performance tune before I downloaded the 200 HP tune that Johan sent me. Not to sure on the make-up of the tune he sent me. At take off it felt like the 100 HP tune, but pulled smooth throught the mid range and top end. It comes on fast. Mainly got the tune to have when I do my Tranny next year. Going to combine it with SP Diesel old pressure box for the bottom and the 200 HP for the mid and high. No real problems with tune runs great on my truck.

 

I tried to download it to my truck and I keep getting "Custom tune does not match vehicle so it will not be used" message. My calid is 25325373AA if it matches anyone's. Johan has been patient with me so far. I sent him another email tonight telling him the problem and I will see what his solution is tomorrow. Who know's maybe he sent for the wrong calid. Thanks for the replies bdewey and neverenough was very helpful also. Thanks guys and I cannot wait to get it in there.

 

Ok Johan sent me a stackable 200hp tune to see if it would accept it and it did. He is sending me another that is supposed to be the regular 200hp tune. This one seems to fuel harder on the low end and all the way through. Pretty impressed with it so far but I have only driven it about 20 miles. My high idle still works and I still have not set any codes or have had any problems with this stack yet "knock on wood". My best $380 I have spent EVER!!!!!!!
