New to Bullydog. Help please.

I did a swap with a fellow DTR member and have a questio or 3. First, it didnt not come with the USB to connect to the internet, how do I know which cable and where can I pick one up? Second, I have plugged it in and messed around a little, but do I need to do a download before I download anything into my truck? Thanks guys. Dave

Unless you have a newer truck I don't know if there is any need to update it. I ran an older version when I ran mine. As for the cable I used one from another device, printer or camera or something. I would just put it in the truck and go blow smoke and burn rubber. Maybe go beat a phord or something.

if it is a Power Pup - there are no upgrades.

only the Triple Dog is upgradeable (per BD R&D guy)
and if look on their site, only the TD is listed.

program it and go.
my 04 would not supply enough fuel for Extreme mode.
just left on Perf.

my triple is 2.3.4 also , the guy's at big dog performance helped me do the initial download and when the tsp about the smoke came up he said not to worry about it and he downloaded it . the triple dog will put it's own program on the CPU no matter what dealer programming you have. go for it!! you will love it , and you can pull it out easy enough , just make sure your truck is returned to stock mode before attemtping any updates from the bully dog site.

is it a triple dog?? i am pretty sure the triple dog is the only one you can upgrade. the extreme setting on the triple is off the hook!! i think it's why i lost my tranny( well i am about 99% sure it is) extreme would light my tires up without even trying, from a deaqd stop when i hammer it my tires would be screamin for mercy !! you will love it qwhen you load it, plug it into the dash connector, and follow the directions on the loader, it will tell you to turn your key to the on position without starting it , you fuel pump will go nutty , and then you will have some fun torturing your tires and humiliating flowerstrokes , mustangs, camaro's, jeese louis! pretty much everything you cross paths with.
