I like the way it looks. I guess if I had my head off and the extra cash, I would have my head machined for it. Can you find a price for it? I looked briefly and didnt see it anywhere.

Although a custom fabricated intake with 6 individual runners like the pro stock tractors run would be very cool. I believe at my modest power levels there wouldnt be a lot of power to be made from it, but it would look cool for sure!

If it's anything like the ones they made for the duramax you'll never be able to buy one anyway. Those were suppose to be available for like 2 years now, still nothing!

It is available. Give Banks a call. I think it's less than $1000 bucks but I'm not sure.

Again, until it's sitting at your door. It's not available.

ZZ Fab makes them and it probably is $1000 by the time you machine off the intake trough and drill and tap the head. The manifold by itself is something close to $6 bills if I remember right and it can include a nitrous and/or water spray bar for each runner. KS

I guess their pricing went to retail...I had priced just a plain jane flat plate model and back then dealer cost was $650 and each spray bar was $150 plus more $ for powdercoat but it was not like the original in Greg Hogues truck....It was $1500. KS

In the latest Dieselpower magazine, they put one of the zzfab, center feed intakes on their drag truck they keep playing with.

If that price is true, it might be worth looking into. You figure 350 or so just for a horn so that price is somewhat reasonable. I wonder if it comes with instructions for the machinist to cut and tap the holes in the correct places?

I'm not picking on you, I completely understand what you ment but if your machinist needs written instructions, I'd find another machinist.

Most of the machine shops around here I wouldnt trust to bore a Briggs 3 1/2 horse engine.

I was just kinda curious about it, to see for myself how involved it was. If I ever did decide to go that route, I would probably have to ship my head to a competent machinist.
