Need Serial Number off of 2005 Engine

I drop a valve seat on #5 Exhaust valve so I need a new head and I want to replace it with the newer 600 head so I need a serial number off of someones 2005 engine, so Cummins can look up proper part number

thats a sneaky way of getting the part number you need without tagging your own motor with a new head part search...... And if you're the one giving the pn, a tag stored with you're number, carfax finds everything.......

Thats not what it is all about I have a 2004, 305-555 I want to buy the newer 600 head better valvas and seats the 305-555 have a problem when running high EGTs of loosing ex valve seats and it is not a fun experance

Did you catch it in time before anything else was hurt in the engine? Was it a gradual change in how your engine ran or did it happen pretty quick?

not acusing, just a heads up on the donor pn's side,,,, would blow going to sell truck later on and having the buyer come back saying hmmmmmmmmm carfax says the head has been most likely replaced, don't pay that much for the truck, its been repaired........

Just a little to the top of the piston it will be ok to reuse. Stop at a store all ok came out started truck knock and miss
