Need instructions on how to update Smarty Jr.

I'm running version 5.07b RJ14A and I'm looking to update my Smarty Jr. I already downloaded the file to my computer, but I have no idea what to do next, and the website is unclear to me. Any help would be much appricated. Thanks.

Download win7zip and install it on your computer so you can unzip the Smarty file you have downloaded to your computer. Looks like this is where you are stumped.

Right click on the desktop and select new folder. Rename it Smarty, then save the zipped file to that folder.

Before using SmartyUSB program to download the upgrade software, the USB driver has to be installed.
To do this, please follow these simple steps:
Unzip the driver files into a new folder
Plug Smarty in the USB port of your Microsoft Windows® based computer
Windows finds a new hardware and asks for the drivers. DO NOT allow Windows to install the
default driver. Suggest instead to Windows the folder with the files extracted from driver file as
Smarty driver
For further details please see the " Smarty USB driver installation guide" in the Documentation section
(Windows Vista automatically installs the correct drive)

I have a folder named smarty, I downloaded the winzip7 program to it. I downloaded the software to the folder, I downloaded the USB driver to that same folder. I don't know how to unzip the file to send to my smarty. It keeps wanting to save the downloaded file everytime I try to unzip.

Right click on the file, then click on 7zip, then click on unzip here. A new file ending in .smt will appear. That will be the file you send to your Smarty.
