Need help with a code, dealer can't find it.
Need help with a code, dealer can't find it.
Go a code today on the dash when you toggle the switch three times, a P0882 which is trans relay control, and the other is a P2769 which the dealership could not find. Any help would be great. On a side note, my 3rd walbro lift pump has taken a dump and I do not know if that is related.

For a complete wiring diagramRefer to Section 8W
Theory of Operation
The Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Solenoid is used to engage the TCC which inproves fuel economy.
When Monitored:
The Torque Convertor Clutch (TCC) and Overdrive Clutch (O/D) will be tested each time the ECM requests TCC engagement in 3rd gear and O/D.

No
Go To 7
7. (T75) TCC SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORT TO OTHER CIRCUITS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Measure the resistance between the (T75) TCC Solenoid Control circuit and all other circuits in the Transmission Solenoid Assembly harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms between the (T75) TCC Solenoid Control circuit and any other circuit in the Transmission Solenoid Assembly harness connector?
Yes
Repair the (T75) TCC Solenoid Control circuit for a short to another circuit(s).
Perform RE TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1 (DIESEL). (Refer to 21 - TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE/AUTOMATIC - 48RE - STANDARD PROCEDURE)
No
Using the schematics as a guide, check the Engine Control Module (ECM) pins, terminals, and connectors for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the ECM per the Service Information. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES/ENGINE CONTROL MODULE - REMOVAL)
Perform RE TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1 (DIESEL). (Refer to 21 - TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE/AUTOMATIC - 48RE - STANDARD PROCEDURE)

I have a Dave Georend built tranny with a lock-up switch. Would an aftermarket converter or the lock-up switch cause this problem? We cleared the codes out and started the truck and the codes came back up immediately without doing anything to the truck but start it.

aftermarket items have issues too. Not saying it is the issue but the second trouble tree I posted has a lot of diagrams on it to check pins on connectors etc.. Check all grounds first.
