NO plastic on the 06. 05 and older.

 

update: I was able to take a ride in it yesterday. it's blowin blueish/white smoke at idle and through the lower gears and when he climbs through the gears there is a significant clatter coming from under the hood sounds like metal against metal the noise increases with engine speed. You can also hear it through the exhaust, deffinatley doesn't sound right.

So i'm starting to think it might be a rocker arm or valve. He's taking it to the local dodge dealership today to see if they can come up with anything.

 

I know its not the turbo we checked everything last night and it looks fine and still pulls boost, it will still get up and run. However, i've heard plenty of people say there trucks ran like a raped ape on 5 cylinders too.

 

Any ideas about the two posts above?
