Need a drop hitch.......

Unfortunately when I bought my new truck I realized that the 8" drop I had been using on my other truck will not work with my new truck. It appears that I need a 12 or 14" drop to tow most trailers. Does anyone know where to find drop hitches with that kind of drop that are still strong enough to pull say 8,000#?

Probably have to build it yourself. Thats what I ended up doing on my other dodge with a lift. I couldn't find a drop hitch with that much so I just made my own.

I kinda looked at these guys when I needed a 10" drop for 6k. They were a little toooo west coast looking to me.

Features:
Load Rating of 8000lbs for 6"-12", and 7000lbs for 14"-18"
High Quality Powder Coat Finish

Alumastinger hitch might work. I have a 10" drop, rated at 8K. I have 4" blocks from a Superlift 6" kit and 35s on mine. So you would only be about 1in or maybe 1.5in taller than my truck. I can tow about anything without an issue height wise, especially when you lose a little height from the load pushing down on the truck. Plus they look great. Hope this helps. Tac

The Alumistinger 10" drop is what I wound up with also.
