My truck just cut out ???

I was doing some running around this mornin and I desided to play with the BD a little bit. I put it on extream and laid into it pretty hard and about 2700 it just skipped a beat. I turned it back down and everything is fine but I was just wondering what that could have been. I have been reading about the fuel rail draining and thought that could have been it but i havnt heard any thing for sure. If that was what it was , what can i do to fix it? What products specifically do I need or what do yall recommend that i get?

Thanks
Michael

I was looking at the boost fooler but does that do anything for fuel pressure or just the turbo boost? Would that help?

a boost fooler will give you a few more psi out of your stock turbo, which will help lower egt's under load.
fass(or any aftermarket transfer pump setup) will keep the cp3 supplied with fuel under the increased demand, which will keep fuel delivery to the injectors up, until you add a bunch more toys that drains the fuel rail, but that's another set of events.

You know I have seen alot of people talking about draining there rail with only a programer on settings such as extreme and causing a sputer or back fire.

I run a BDTD with Crazy Larry and have never experianced this and I am not easy on it at all. Am I the exception to the rule or do you think some people might need to change some fuel filters or what? I dont run the low end torq setting but that shouldnt really play a part in it at the top end huh?

Thanks so the fass fuel system is the way to go, to stop this from happening?
Where is the best place to get one? Will the increase in pressure cause any ill effects on the injectors or any other part of the motor? Anything that i should do at the same time as the fuel system to keep me from upgrading everytime I put something else on my truck?

I am starting to work on the trans now, before i go any deeper im to the Performance side of it.

Thanks alot, So should i just go ahead and get the comp system? With running that is there any other weak points that this might expose? Do i need to upgrand the injectors?

Sorry for all the questions this is my first diesel truck. Thanks for the help.

you wont need injectors for awhile, your stock ones will support 550 hp. money is better spent on other things first.
injectors with a stock turbo will create too much egt's. an aftermarket charger will be needed with injectors

Ok but i think that i was reading on here that some guy cracked an injector from running to high of pressure?

Is this something i dont need to worry about?

What about a lift pump?

I will be ordering that system tomorrow then. Thanks alot for your help.

your welcome. the glacier, fass, bd, etc are lift pumps. lift pumps/transfer pumps are the same thing. provide fuel from the tank through the filter(s) to the injection pump. good luck.
too high of pressure is from the injection pump to injectors. the glacier will not cause that. its when we stack modules, programmers, cap the rail, and not have adequate filtration that injectors really start to go.

Always;

I noticed in your sig that you are running the outlook monitor. The Outlook will defuel on high EGT, High water temp, or high trans temp. Might want to chedk the history and see if any of the temps got high enough to trip the de-fuel.
