I love both the quad and the smarty. the smarty is crazy power and i drive with it on 90 all the time. Its perfect for me. I love the commander for the gauges, its a nice clean look on the pillar and has warnings and defuel limits set where you want to set them. and its nice to have the x2 sitting there for when someone wants to pull up next to me and play around, I just reach up there and turn it up a little and let the fun begin.

Mostly Stock: If you dont do any trans upgrades how can you get the full potential out of your programmers.. I bet if you were to spend some of your money on your trans you will be very happy and start stacking. By the way how much did you sell your Smarty for. If you still have it I buy it from you for what you paid for it, then you can start saving money for your tranny.

No Smarty, yet.

My Quad X2 Race is nice, but it sure does get the EGT's up there. I have an AFE, BD Super B, and exhaust and they still shoot up to 1500* like it's nothing. I haven't played with any of the other programs yet, just what it came with.

I enjoyed my Quad XZT2 when I had it, but the EGTs had me concerned. On a 65HP setting, I'd hit 1400* easily on an unloaded WOT run. Smarty JR on 100HP never gets me above 1100* no matter how I flog it.

SMarty and Quadzilla X2 are both great products, they are apples and oranges different and a box type mod can't compete max HP w/ a downloader. If someone says their quad puts out more power than their smarty, then their Smarty is draining the fuel system. Again both are great products for different tasks, leave it at that!

Im very interested to read any more input that people can add to this thread for us. With Fuel prices on the rise I am looking to purchase either a Smarty Jr or a X2 to try and help with mileage ( So I tell my wife) and the ricers around town when shes not in the truck Has anyone else had experience with both they can share.....

My X2 didn't get me any better fuel mileage but my Smarty is. When I upgraded my X2 from STD. to RACE I couldn't even get to 60 MPH WOT and the EGT's would already be @ 1550! It was better BEFORE I upgraded it. I feel like my Smarty has way more power & the EGT's stay crazy low no matter how hard I run it. The only thing I liked about the X2 over Smarty was tune on the fly. That's it. Smarty gets my vote HANDS DOWN.

I just put the SMARTY on with the Quad on pressure only. The SMARTY has way more down low, definitely helped with the 37" tires and 3.73's.

When I had just the Quad the EGT's were way too high, I really like the SMARTY. I can't comment on fuel mileage, I don't check it.

Hpefully I can get on a dyno pretty soon.........

I'm intrested in the 3rd gen Adrenaline from Quad when it comes out. I have a Smarty now, but I miss having the ability to change power levels on the fly.

Yes, I do miss that also. This is on my "fun" truck so I just leave it on 9.

My work truck I have to be able to adjust on the fly.

That is a very interesting comparison as they are definitely 2 totally different animals.

We will have something out in the reasonably near future that will be a better comparison for you guys.
