My posts refer to the TST with twins program. I run a single II SPS66 turbo.

White, Forgot to mention, nice numbers, I think you could easily go over 600 even with the big tires. If I were you and God willing someday I will (truckwise that is) I'd go for water/methanol injection and run the TST on 9/9 and CL with a little pressure on the side if necessary. A guy at my diesel shop runs an 05 with SP 66 with the TST on 9x9 with CL and that truck outpulls all comers in his class (on 35" goodyear mtr's) ...Ontario Truck Pull Point Leader in 05. A little digital water with a couple of nozzles and you are a steam locomotive. ks

My experience with the Dyno Dynamics is that they read higher than the Dynojet.
For instance my 99 Auto did 462rwhp/951ft lbs on David Dunbars Jet.
Then about a month later dynoed on a Dyno Dynamics dyno dual roller portable type and did 501rwhp and 1080ftlbs NO CHANGES to the truck.

So I gained 39hp and about 130ft lbs of torque by switching dynos.

I would like to try a Dyno Dynamics with my new truck and see if I can gain some free HP!!

BTW my 526 was with 33" tires on Dunbars Jet.

NICE NUMBERS BTW 541rwhp!

The Dyno Dynamics dynos can be changed for what is called ramp rate. Different amounts of loading for more or less simulated weight. They can help turbo spool with the added load placed on the engine. All Dyno Dynamics runs are made in direct gear or 3rd in your auto, 5th in your 6 speed and 4th in your 5 speed.

Johns Dyno is a dual retarder type. Both drums on both sides can place heavy loads on the wheels.

DynoJets on the other hand can be run in any gear. Most use OD for the additional time to build boost and add some load. Giving better numbers in the more modified engines.

The difference in Dyno Dynamics numbers can vary from place to place depending on how much retard is used and the rate at which it is applied.

Most of Johns work this past summer and the spring and winter months previous to that was on a DynoJet. While we sorted some things out on injectors for his truck. After he got his new dyno, I can tell you the numbers he gets now are lower than the DynoJets were.

He now has around 568 HP on Diesel with his 03. Single turbo, FLUX injectors and TST stacked to a variety of pressure boxes. The DynoJet numbers were better all the way through the testing and development of those injectors.

Now that John has the Dyno in his shop, we are moving forward to build a better mousetrap. Injectors, cam and other parts to make his truck a serious contender in the street class and perhaps move it up a class in early summer.

Either Dyno can effectively measure a loss or a gain in power. How that translates between dyno brands may not always be perfect though.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one running on a Dyno Dynamics anymore. I've been running on this brand of dyno for 3 years. Some with a 01' 24-valve and alot with my 04'. The Dyno Dynamics has alot more options. I believe Piers also uses this type of dyno.

Good numbers WhiteSport.

Thanks to all for the compliments. Thanks to DonM for clearing up the dyno #'s issue. It seems as if nobody believes anything until DonM confirms it, and for that, I thank you...

PourinDiesel---> You gained HP and TQ because of the DynoDynamic's ability to load your truck better than the DynoJet. From what I've seen the DynoJet's will read higher on any given vehicle, as long as the proper load is acheived. With N20, a DynoJet will be give the top #'s on a Diesel. But without it, you'll never see full boost.

Dyno Dynamics is state of the art, and regardless of reading lower/higher, is an awesome peice of equipment...

abc4yew---> Water/meth or N20 is in the works

White, Can't wait to see those numbers, I'd go digital water/meth first because you can tailor it to your egt's, it doesn't affect timing negatively, and it is way cheaper to keep in the rig. NO2 you will use to drag race at the strip or do a dyno but water/meth you'll use for those and to go to the store....FAST. ks
