My LED's are garbage!

Does anyone else run LED's on their truck? I have them in my clearance lamps, and they take a dump in about 3 months. Third set now. The place has a warranty on them, but taking those lamp covers off is a pain.

I'm running a super white bulb color, anyone have any good bulbs?

get the Recon replacement units. I have never had an OEM replacement LED bulb last long.

I got them in June I think. I won the RECON contest this summer. They work great.

I have the recon cab lights, they died, then I bought, some aftermarket bulbs, they crapped out, so I bought a better bulb, from the same site, now they are starting to take a dump.

I have heard that led's suck, I was wondering if I need to go back to a filliment bulb.

the Recons that I have do not have replacable bulbs. they are a purpose built LED and they last longer than a replacable LED style set up.

I dont think all LED's suck, just the low quality ones. At work, we installed all Grote LED's on 5 trailers about 4 years ago. The only problem we ever had was corrosion in the connectors of 2-3 lights total. Another problem is LED's dont get hot and will not melt off snow in the winter. I dont think the bulbs that plug and play in the factory socket hold up IMHO.

we had that same problem with our cattle trailers when I was driving. Looked killer and were bright in the fog but did not create enough heat to melt snow/ice and that could become a problem. But you are working on cab lights so that is a bit different.

I use the RECON cab lights and 3rd brake light, had to rewire the cab lights and seal them.

I have LED tail lights from some company in china, got them off ebay, they work good.

I have LED lights called ICE on my running boards no probloms, were hard to get in there due to the running board size.

I switched my heat and fan speed ***** to a billet style and the lights that were in there(OEM) did not light up the little postion holes so I installed LEDs in them no probloms.

LED light strip,(about 2 in long) right above the cup holders so I can see were the darn cups go at night,no probloms.

Now on the side note my truck is not a drive way queen it gets run up the mountains around here so it takes a beating at times and all the LED's still work right.

Maybe I need to check my voltage on those wires... 3rd set of lights in a year... I'm gonna call recon to see if they will sell me some bulbs, I tried to do it when my first ones went out, they kinda gave me the run around...

Its very common. I find myself replacing 1 or 2 LED's every few months or so. Ive gone through an entire set of 5 LED in my cab lights and 2 for my gauges.

There's nothing you can really do unless you buy high quality LED's from Idontknowwhere.com

Love the look and no way would I ever go back to stock, I love my LED's

I guess ill keep replacing them

Goodluck with that one.

Usually there just small internet companies that get ther LED's from china and no warranty, on loose bulbs.

Ive tried superbrightleds.com
and hid-lights.com

and they all burn out

I usually order a bunch of extras to avoid the $5 shipping everytime

Madhat it's like matego says not all led bulbs are good quality stuff. Every bulb in my truck are led's and they've been in there for a year now with no burn outs and no problems whatsoever. I've said it before and I'll say it again if you want some quality led bulbs check www.autolumination.com they have the best bulbs out there.
