My HID Lights Install Recommendation For Edmonton, Alberta
They were nice...always answer emails promptly - even a year after I purchased them. They shipped fast too.
And I'm very happy with the look/quality of the lamp assemlies. A very nice upgrade indeed.

For sure! For me, in this last round they fixed up:
- a crappy banks exhaust brake wiring job done by a diesel shop in Edmonton
- my lazy wiring job of connecting my headlight LEDs to a tap on the fog light wires. They connected the LEDs to the park lamps so they're on all the time with ignition...so sweeeet.
These guys know their wiring.

I've been itching to get something like these-but have heard so many nightmares from people not getting their lights working right.
Can you take a picture or 2 of the wiring that they did?
Also, You went for hid's-do you remember what kind they were? site link? bi xenon?
thanks for posting a local solution!!

I got the healight assemblies and one set of HID's from the KBcarstuff Site:

The only problem I've had with the assemblies is that I never made sure the LED lights were screwed in tight before installation. So at one point it looked liked a couple of the LEDs burned out, but they had just fallen out and were dangling. F/X put them in properly for me.
The pictures I posted are the best I could show of the wiring without taking the things apart. I never knew where I was going to install the HID ballasts, but FX put them in a great spot for a clean install.
I didn't need bi-xenons. Just one set in the low beams and the other set in the high beam. With the assemblies I purchased, they take H1 bulbs...not what is standard in the stock trucks. I should have purchased both sets of HIDs from KB or FX, because they turned out to be slightly different colour. But it doesn't matter much. When they eventually burn out, I'll get a matching set.
I will post pictures of the headlights next week when I get my truck back out of the shop. I had my running boards and bumpers coated with Rhino.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

I bought my HID kit and lights from "My Fine Ride" in Ca. At that time they were not aware that the Dodge computers rejected HID lights. One ballast died quite quickly, but when I contacted MFR they did not ask any questions except to request I ship the dead ballast back to them and they replaced it for me.
Have not seen my idea anywhere else, but I installed a relay in the headlight circuit so that when I turn on my headlights (HIDS on low beams only) the computer only sees a set of halogen driving lights in my bumper. The relay is wired to simultaneously then turn on the HIDS which are connected directly to the battery via a dedicated fuse. So when I turn on the low beams I get four lights turning on which is a plus for me as the lights in the bumper work as a type of fog light and light up the road very close to the front of the truck. Flipping to high beams kill the four lights and the normal high beams come on.

Finally!!
Ok, so here are some pictures of my aftermarket headlight assemblies with the HIDs. You can see that even though I bought 4300k for low beam and high beam, they're slightly different colour because I got them from two different manufacturers.
And as it would be, I too got in trouble with the police. My wife was laughing because they phone our house and she talked to them. I guess my lights were so bright that one guy said he had to get out of the way because he couldn't take it...so one the police got a few complaints...I got "THE CALL".
Anyway, I found out that on the back of the headlamp assembly there are two screws per light so I went to a church lot and set them properly.
Fun!

I just go HID's installed at F/X Audio in Sherwood Park, Alberta. I had both low and high beams done.
Just wanted to recommend these guys to anyone in the area looking for HID's, starters, or car audio.
Not only did they address the daytime running light issue, upon my request they were able to connect the headlights such that both low and high beam bulbs come one when the high beam switch is on. Wicked bright!!!
I've been to a number of shops and these guys do it right and really know their stuff! Five stars for them!
