my eyes hurt from reading
ok. ive searched all i can think of and still cant think of what to order. I dont want to go crazy with an edge juice/smarty/tst, you get the idea. i want a small power adder, the 50-100HP range. mainly becuase pulling out in fast pace traffic with a 6 spd sucks. when i do tow, its going to be a 16ft bumper pull with 3-5k depending. and thats maybe twice a month. i want something, keyword here, "safe". something where i dont always have to check gauges with to make sure i dont burn up the truck. most of these small boxes are pressure boxes. such as the EDGE EZ or Power Puck. when i read up on them, everything i saw said pressure is considered a bad thing, and timing/duration was the way to go. so basically i think ive narrowed down my two choics between a VA 3.2 or quad XZT. and XZT having the most/best reviews. but didnt see too much on the BD power pup. i also want to make the stock clutch(w/ 124K) last as long as humanly possible. i tried it, and figured out my truck would do a 3rd gear launch and spin through it, but i have a gut feeling my clutch said no and doesnt want to try it again. going to swiss cheese the air box, and add a drop in filter. had a K&N on past vehicles with zero problems, perfectly clean intake, read the reviews on here, and dont know what to do filter wise. going to either get a strait through muffler, or be like a sheep and strait pipe it. or just save up for a full 4in, which i dont think i need. all ive done so far is remove the silencer ring and intake baffle. and boy do i love the whistle. the woman riding shotgun actualy liked it too, lol.
so guys, is the XZT they way to go with the fewest problems. a year or two down the road i may get stupid, but right now, i want to keep it sane, cheap, and efficient.
Thanks

i would go with quad products
i got great fuel eco with it.
i had the quad race and never ran in to any issues at all. and i ran that on the high setting
i would gothe xzt or the standard quad (me favoring the standard)
PS.
i had tons of low end power with the race module

I just got a XZT 65HP box and love it!!! The power increase is amazing! No smoke either. I really didn't think 65hp would "feel" like such an obvious increase. I would recomend it. Check around in the classifieds section, I picked mine up used for $150 shipped to my door... Best $150 I have spent on the truck!

I agree with VW junkie. If you find one used buy it, go to Quads update page send it in and for 60 or $90 bucks upgrade it to the X2 which will give USB update capability. You can run it as the Mileage max module or "Tow" box based on which program you load.

You will get a control pod to be able to change levels. So yes, you can have more options. Check out www.Quadzillapower.com to find all of your options.

You should be fine with just and xzt, Ive got a TST mp8, soon to be TST X2 stack on a stock clutch. Im not saying that it doesnt slip, but mine holds up ok from 1st to 4th, after that its all over. Ive had this setup for about a year, and my clutch is still hanging in there. But it doesnt like me much!!
