Well I have been trying to decide what to do about my truck and today I made my mind up. I have a 5" turbo back system with straight threw muffler and no cat. Its not to loud most of the time but the drone is terrible at certain conditions. I drive mostly to work with no great highway speeds and its not to bad but put a trailer behind her and she grones alot. Well I have been thinking of a new muffler and today I took dad on a trip and he hates the radio on. Well the drone was very bad. Does anyone else have any other ideas how to get ride of the drone? I have seen other posts but no tried anything yet.

 

I had the same problem with my 5" exhaust on my powerstroke, my wife wouldn't ride in it. I finally got it down some. Recheck the installation, make sure the exhaust doesnt rub on anything, mine was touching the shock, a simple hit with a hammer fixed it. I also was told to add a piece of flexiable exhaust pipe to the system to change the frequency of the drone along with a turn down tip. Hope this helps. I learned my lesson, that was the worst $580 i ever spent, I'll never go above 4" again.

I want either. I went this route because I wanted to lose the cat and no one around here could handle or do it. At that time no one had a delete pipe. I just put a new muffler on.

 

I ment to say I may put a new muffler on.
