Anyone know where I can get some for my '04 that look decent? I don't want all fancy chrome. I would prefer black, or plain jane.

Check out www.truckimage.com. I bought the KMC running boards for $239 including shipping. They are plain black plastic.
I have had mine for about two weeks and haven't had time to get them on the truck.

I got my Nerf Bars from a guy (Yourwheelman) on Ebay. They are made by www.cyc-engineering.com of T-304 Stainless Steel. They are $205 shipped to your door. I am really happy with them. There are pics of my rig on page 48 of the gallery.

If you drive any amount of gravel I would recommend a set of DeeZee running boards. They protect the paint, are very sturdy, and are easy to install. I have the FX extruded aluminum but the black FX running boards look nice.

I also do not want chrome, but like the solid nerf-bars. My real preference would be the single step (CARR brand type). I like the looks, but they attach to the rocker panel and I just don't want to drill through these.
I am considering purchasing the chrome type bars and taking them to the Line-X place when they do the bed liner. I think they will look sharp without the shine.

My concern with running boards is they hold dirt/water down at the rocker panels and fenders, and rot the truck out. I had 'em on my old chevy, and it was baaaad. Of course we have so much salt on the roads here in winter, not a concern for you Jack. I'm really happy with my stainless nerfs, especially since they attach to the cab, not primarily the rockers. Westin and others have black stainless, looks nice.

The Mopar flaps are heavy, fit well and not expensive.
Boards - I have Bremen. They are fibreglass, fitted and are fender flares all moulded into one sweep. They sure look good on a dually. Check out the look on Page Ten of the member photos, FiverBob's White Ghost.

I put Dee Zee Guardian boards on mine. They are available with either black or bright aluminum step area, and black plastic trim, which is paintable. Integrated mud flaps on the front are nice, but a bit narrow. I got mine from :

I have black nerf bars to protect the between the wheels and molded plastic mudflaps on the back to protect the tail end. so far there working out well. My dad has one and his underside is chiped up fairly well. Genos has molded mudflaps along with dodge. Theres some pictures of my truck on here someplace. If there not good enough pm me I'll take some more.

Hello,
Noticed you have the Jacob's exhaust brake, how well does the Jacob brake system work? any complaints? I can't decide between Jacob' vs Banks?

Re:Mudflaps and running boards
Jack - I second (3rd, 4th) the Mopar HD flaps...they have done well on my rig and still look good. I use a horse hair brush and car soap to scrub them. I have not yet pinched them between the tire and a stump or rock off road....I really think they would hate life on that one.
I did this on the Toyota tacoma and they have pull away slots to prevent damage. FYI FWIW.
