MSD Propane?
Has Anyone used this or any other Propane set-up in the 04.5 Cummins. If so how much fuel economy you have gotten from it. Also how much horse power you got from it and where you have the tank mounted. Thanks Paul
PThree,
We haven't done it here but we have sent out a number of the MSD Digital systems to 2003+ Dodge customers. The typical HP will be 75-85 HP, EGT drop is usually 40-75 degrees and MPG is all over the place as most folks with propane like to use it a lot, which doesn't help the MPG any!!!! If you drive for MPG you usually pay for the propane to use it and helps you get more out of the diesel you burn.
Great and safest system out there which is the reason we stock them. Lots of safety features and such, we also have tanks and mounting brackets available or check your local propane folks for them. The typical tank is 8 inches by 42 and mounts in front of the bed crossways. Thats' 10 gallons if I remember correctly.
Call us if you have any questions etc.
