MPRB exhaust system question...?
MPRB exhaust system question...?
Several months ago my stock muffler rotted and fell off. As a short term measure I booger fabbed a piece of 4" straight pipe in it's place.
works "ok" but I get a horrible drone in the cab at around 2500 RPM mostly when climbing a hill.
Looking at replacing the entire exhaust with this:

Wondering how this system is with the drone at 2500 RPM. I love the new found power and fuel economy, Ok with the straight pipe sound. Don't like the sound of being in a drum at 2500 RPM...
Anyone used this with a pac brake?

I have the MBRP on my 05 & I like it. It is just throaty enough to hear it when under hard a pull while towing with no drone inside the cab. Alot mellower than the Banks exhaust I had on my 01.
It's MBRP if we are talking about the same exhaust. I have it from the cat back so can't say if it is available for the turbo back. There might be a legality issue about deleted the cat so it might not be available.

This is where I got mine & looking at their website it looks like they are all cat back systems.

I have that one in the 5" Turbo back.
Really liked the sound until I hooked up to my trailer, then it was way too loud. Sound reflected back. Stock stereo full on couldn't drown it out.
Installed the 51" Donaldson Muffler which fixed it up.
Runs cooler, breathers easier, bit more power, only slightly louder than stock even when pulling. Nice exhaust system overall.
I have an inline pac brake as well and am happy with the performance.

Hmmmm....
Not to mention those nasty brokerage fees...
PDR is only 20 minutes away. Looks like they are a dealer. Drive over and no shipping cost?
