MP8 Install

Hi all,

Do any of you happen to have a copy of the TS MP8 install instructions I could steal? I just bought one, well a Ramifier but same basic idea, but it does not come with instructions...Thanks!

Oh also I currently have an Edge Juice w/ att. on it will any of the wiring conflict? I know the Juice plugs into the map connector...I think...and I think the MP8 has to meet up with that too..any thoughts on that?

Thanks again!

Plug the mp8 into the map first then plug the attitude into the mp8 then plug the oem pig tail into the attitude. The mp8 remaps the map so it will make the attitude fuel sooner.

Plug the mp8 into the map, then the juice into the mp8, the mp8 also plugs into the rail sensor and that is about it. I dont think the juice plugs into the rail sensor but if it does, hook up the mp8 first. It is very simple to install.

It basically just hooks up to the rail pressure sensor and the map sensor. Then you'll run the rheostat into the cab and mount it somewhere and mount the control box somewhere in the engine compartment.

The problem you're going to have is, the MP-8 need to be connected to the MS first. The Edge may also require the same thing. If that's the case, it may not work. Then, if you try and add a boost fooler in that group... you really have problems. The Quad fooler needs to be first at the MS so them the MP-8 is out .

The mp8 does boost fooling, and while all trucks are differant there should be no problems with a juice and mp8 stack.

Wich brings up the point, since the mp8 does boost fooling your attitude monitor (if you have one) will read only fooled boost. If you do not have a mechanical boost guage you need one as you will be pushing 45lbs of boost or so with that stack, maybe more.

That's news to me. It sure doesn't on my truck. As far as I know... the MP-8 is solely a pressure box. The ramifier may have fooling, I don;t know.

The Juice and the MP-8 work great together...

Map Sensor - MP-8 - Juice - OEM Harness
Rail Sensor - MP-8 - OEM Harness

If you really have a Ramifier...call TS and try to get it updated to a adjustible ramifier/MP-8 so you don't have to run more than 50%.

The MP-8/Ramifier does all the Boost Fooling you will ever need.

there may be something with newer trucks, I don't know but, I could have the MP on 100% and throw overboost codes all day.

It does make the ECM think it's at a different boost level but, I think that's a set boost and who knows what that is.

I went as far as buying a quad fooler because I couldn't stop throwing codes. Only to find out they couldn't be used together because they both want the map to themselves ;-)

here's one for you too. Straight from Dennis @ TS, the rheostat doesn't do anything. The MP-8 is either on or off. Something about a requirement to have a control *** is why there's a rheostat.

Believe me, I've heard and seen the stories about not taking it past 40 or 50% so, when I was at the track in Commerce, I went over and asked Dennis about it. He told me what I said above and to put it over at 100% and forget about it.

I know what it is...and it is not above the max for an error...you must have another glitch...or compounded programing.

He has a 4.5 which will work GREAT with that stack. Make it a hot juice and you can have 500 hp on a small turbo.

I love my Ramifier, easy to install, just like everyone has posted. Let me know how you like the stack, I think I am either doing the Juice w/Attitude or a Smarty stack on mine, heard good things about both. And yes, the MP-8/Ramifier does boost fooling. You will enjoy infinite adjustability and it will really wake up the low end power.

I am not doubting you, but as far as mine, I can tell a big differance between 50% and 100%, especially in smoke.
