mp-8 on an SO

Anyone running an MP-8 on a SO edition. I have an 04 Cali SO in need of more power. What kind of fuel pressure readings are you getting at WOT when unit turned up? What egt's are you getting?

I've read that it is not a good idea to run it at max on HO edition. Better at 80%. With a SO I think that the 48re should handle it ok. I'm guessing the fuel pressure and egt's should be a little better with the SO. With unit turned up I would only be at 335 HP and 660 touque.

I have a 05 but I'll tell you what Dennis told me, He said turn it up all the way because it runs off the sensers so it will only give the engine what it needs. The only reason it has an in cab adjustment is because everyone thinks its better to be able to turn a ****

I repeat call Dennis and talk to him, he can set it up for your truck!

04 SO CA,

It'll work fine we have probably sent out at least a zillion on SO's and never had anything but good customer reports etc.

I'm not trying to take anything from our fine dealers here on DTR but I know that dennis can tweek a MP8 for your needs that might be better then one you buy off the shelf.

Thanks guys. I emailed TS performance over the weekend, but have not heard anything back yet. I'll try to call them tomorrow. I have not read a single bad thing about it.

Cris, what kind of fuel pressure are you reading at WOT?

Thanks, Rick

Rick

My gauge says 9psi and then goes down to 4.5psi with the MP8 all the way up and my TST on 7/4. Thats still safe for your CP3 pump

Thanks Cris. I was wondering if I should upgrade to a FASS or another, but it sounds like I'll be safe. I haven't had time to call TS, but I plan to. I'm looking forward to placing my order. They still haven't responded to my email. Nice to know that when it comes time to stack, I can send it in to be reprogrammed. I think I'll wait until warranty is gone before I make that leap though.
